Raw Food and Vegan Recipes: Tapenade

A delicious, easy and quick raw food and vegan recipe for raw olive tapenade. This is a great recipe for starters because it's a spread that most people know and like. By making it yourself, you ensure it's raw and fresh.

You can use the tapenade in a salad or as a spread on flax crackers or sprouted bread. You can buy raw olives online or at an olive farm. Enjoy!


Raw Olive Tapenade

Serves 6-8

Ingredients

1 glove garlic
1 cup black olives (i.e. Natures First Law Italian)
Sea Salt & pepper
Olive Oil
Juice of 1/2 Lemon

Directions

Take pits out of olives (if necessary). Place garlic, olives, olive oil and some juice in a blender and blend (I prefer not too fine). Add salt & pepper and lemon juice to taste and add some more olive oil to make the tapenade nice and smooth.
