Raw Food Breakfast Recipes

with pear

This is a variation of one of my daughter's favorite raw food breakfast recipes. I like this recipe because it has healthy ingredients that are easy to get. We usually have them laying around in the kitchen.

The dish is healthy and filling. Full of fiber, good fats and protein. It is easy to make. Less than 5 minutes. You don't need fancy appliances. A hand blender will do fine.

But best of all. It's delicious! We make this raw food recipe quite a lot, especially in the fall when there are so many fantastic pears around.

Serves 2

raw diet recipes

1-2 pears
1 banana
2 tablespoon golden flax seed.
1 half teaspoon vanilla powder (or cinnamon)
Pure water (or almond or coconut milk)
2-3 drops liquid stevia (or to taste)

  1. Mix the flax seeds with the purified water and let stand for at least an hour (or overnight).

  2. Peel the pear and cut them in smaller parts (for the blender). Peel the banana en break in parts. Strain and rinse the flax seeds.

  3. Put all ingredients in a blender. This can be a hand blender or high speed blender such as Vitamix. Add 1/4 cup water, just enough to let the mixture blend well. Blend all ingredients until smooth. You may want to add a little more water if it's too thick.

You make make this recipe even better by replacing the water with almond milk, coconut milk or water or fresh orange juice. You may also add a tablespoon of hemp seeds or chia seeds.
