Raw Food Diet Snacks

Living on a raw food diet in a not so raw world can be quite challenging. When you're in a hurry, traveling, or forgot to do groceries, you can't go a fast food chain, deli, or restaurant to get food. Therefore:

Great snacks are imperative for success!

I always, ALWAYS, try to have several of the following foods available. I put them on the table, kitchen, purse, car or any other place where I can see them and easily take one. This way, there's always some delicious raw food alternative available when I get hungry.

I thought you might like see my list.

Top 16 Raw Food Snacks

  • Sea weed (nori sheets)
  • Green powder, pure water and stevia for a quick green juice
  • Frozen fruits (for making a quick smoothie)
  • Trail mix (mix of dried nuts and fruits)
  • Cucumbers
  • Baby carrots
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Avocado (as spread on bread, or as is with carrot)
  • Radish
  • Apples
  • Bananas
  • Pesto, tapanade, nut pate or other spread/dip
  • Larabar or home made raw food bar
  • Washed lettuce or cabbage
  • Raw olives
  • Home made chocolates, cookies, crackers, ice cream

If you eat cooked food: save some of the highest quality organic (sprouted) whole spelt bread (sliced) in your freezer.

I find that these foods are easy to store, keep well can be taken along on a trip, eaten in public, are easy to get and affordable.
