Raw Food Diet Snacks

Living on a raw food diet in a not so raw world can be quite challenging. When you're in a hurry, traveling, or forgot to do groceries, you can't go a fast food chain, deli, or restaurant to get food. Therefore:

Great snacks are imperative for success!

I always, ALWAYS, try to have several of the following foods available. I put them on the table, kitchen, purse, car or any other place where I can see them and easily take one. This way, there's always some delicious raw food alternative available when I get hungry.

Top 16 Raw Food Snacks

  • Sea weed (nori sheets);
  • Green powder, pure water and stevia for a quick green juice;
  • Frozen fruits (for making a quick smoothie);
  • Trail mix (mix of dried nuts and fruits);
  • Cucumbers;
  • Baby carrots;
  • Cherry tomatoes;
  • Avocado (as spread on bread, or as is with carrot);
  • Radish;
  • Apples;
  • Bananas;
  • Pesto, tapanade, nut pate or other spread/dip;
  • Larabar or home made raw food bar;
  • Washed lettuce or cabbage;
  • Raw olives;
  • Home made chocolates, cookies, crackers, ice cream.

If you eat cooked food: save some of the highest quality organic (sprouted) whole spelt bread (sliced) in your freezer.

You will find that these foods are easy to store, keep well can be taken along on a trip, eaten in public, are easy to get and are affordable in price.
