Raw Food Recipes for Beginners

Easy Chia Seeds Recipe

This is one of the best raw food recipes for beginners and a great one for busy raw foodist. It's very easy and quick to make. It's satiating. Delicious and very nutritious.

The main ingredients are chia seeds and goji berries. Both are super foods in that they nutrient dense.

This such a perfect dish because it is so easy to make and will give you energy for hours. After this, you won't need anything else to eat for a while.

Therefore I truly find this one of the best raw food recipes for beginners, people with little time and raw foodists who like to feel "full" after a meal.

Ingredients

Serves 1

2 tablespoons chia or selba seeds
2 tablespoons goji berries
3/4 - 1 cup pure water
4 drops liquid stevia to sweeten (optional)

Directions

  1. Put all ingredients in a bowl. Stir well. Continue to stir for the first 15 minutes, mixing all ingredients well.

  2. Let sit for 30 - 60 minutes. (I usually make the pudding the night before and hve it for breakfast the next morning. Or I make it just after breakfast, so that it's ready for the lunch. (It keeps well for at least 24 hours.)

  3. You may want to stir occasionally and check to see if there's enough water. It should have a jelly like, thick consistency. If - after 30 minutes - it's too thin, add some more seeds. If it's too thick, add some more water.

  4. Enjoy this delicious super food pudding!

Tips

  1. Chia seeds have more antioxidants than blueberries, are an excellent source of vegan calcium: 6x more calcium than whole milk, 15x more magnesium than broccoli, 25x more dietary fiber than flax seed, 8x more omega than salmon, 3x more iron than spinach, 2,5x more vegetable protein than kidney beans! And the best thing is that they are truly delicious. The taste is more subtile than flax or hemp seed.

  2. Goji berries are another super food. They are extremely rich in anti-oxidants which help protect the cells in our bodies from diseases like cancer. They're also an excellent source of vitamin C and soluble fiber. They have more amino acids than bee pollen, more beta carotene than carrots, more iron than spinach and have 21 trace minerals. Goji berries contain 13% of protein! Goji berries are a powerful anti-fungal and anti-bacterial food.

  3. You can buy chia seeds, goji berries and stevia in most health food stores and on-line (i.e. Sunfood Nutrition)

  4. This pudding is so nutritive and rich and has so much fiber that it may also help to create a sensation of “fullness” that can help to curb hunger.

  5. This best of raw food recipes for beginners is easy to bring along when you are traveling. You can make the pudding in advance, put it in a sealed container and bring it with you to the office or on the road.

Together with a raw chocolate bar and some trail mix or grawnola, carrots/tangerines and some E3 Live capsules and water, this pudding is perfect to survive a day away from home. You will not have any cravings or need for any junk or cooked food. Therefore, it's excellent raw weight loss food too.
